The annual TTD Careers Evening was held on Tuesday 5th May 2009 and was open to both day and night TTD students. The evening included career and education guidance from Jack Griffin (Guidance Counsellor and Ex-Principal of SCD). He gave many hints and tips on how to prepare a teachers CV/cover letter and how to prepare for a teaching interview.

Clodagh Beare, Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator of DLVEC Community Based Education gave an insightful talk her role and encourage students to consider a career in adult education. Clodagh is a graduate of the course.

Two graduates, Natalie Donegan and Mairsile Hourihane, talked about their experiences and current employment. Nathalie is currently employed with DLVEC teaching IT/communications and works with special needs students. Mairsile has combined the TTD course with her previous qualification in computer programming and currently works with eLearning Solutions. The majority of her work in relation to Moodle.
