Student Council and Class Representatives
The Student Council is the representative body for students. Its aim is to represent the views of students, individually and collectively on general aspects of College life and specifically on those that impinge directly on students. It seeks to co-ordinate social, cultural and sporting events. Representatives from each class are elected to the Council and from this, a chairperson, secretary and treasurer are appointed. Reps liaise between the Council and class groups.
The Student Council gives students an opportunity to organise events and clubs that they would like to see in the College. The College encourages all students to get involved. The co-ordination of these activities is facilitated by staff members.
The events run by the Council include:
- discos
- social events
- soccer tournaments
- table quizzes
- sports tournaments
- charity events
- Rag Day
- College Ball.
