Nutrition and food is a fascinating field of study. This course, certified by FETAC, introduces the student to the essentials of good nutrition, examines the special dietary requirements of individuals, and develops an awareness of balanced diet.
This is an introductory course and is suitable for those with a personal interest in good nutrition. It also serves as a useful foundation for students interested in pursuing studies of nutrition at a higher level.
Attendance
Commencing 21 September 2010, students attend on Tuesday night from 7:00 pm to 10:00pm over a ten-week period.
Certification
On successful completion of the course, learners are awarded a FETAC level 5 qualification.
Assessment
Students are assessed by means of a multiple choice examination and through the preparation of dietary advice for those with special needs such as food allergy, diabetes etc.

€150 inclusive of assessment fees.
