SCD finished an impressive season as national champions of the second division of the FAI Colleges Football League. The road to the final saw Senior College beat Dublin Business School, Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education, Inchicore College of Further Education, Rathmines College, Dundalk IT and Mater Dei.

The final against IT Blanchardstown on Wednesday 24 February was decided by a single goal scored by Landscape Design student John Byrne who picked up the man of the match award and helped Senior College Dun Laoghaire achieve their first ever league win.

Senior College have been promoted to the first division of the National Colleges League and hope to continue their success next season.
