Introduction
Our Creative Multimedia courses equip students with an understanding of the skills and technologies used for developing multimedia products for all types of digital media. Skills are taught in areas such as web design, computer graphics, digital imaging, animation, Content management system (CMS) design and development, web programming, digital video and audio and digital publishing. A career in Multimedia is for creative people who enjoy working with the latest digital technologies.
Students have access to the latest computer equipment and software - Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5:, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Premiere Pro.
Students will benefit from a combination of demonstrations, practical workshops and lectures. Assessment is through competency based assignments and projects. Students are given the individual practical time needed to grasp the ever-increasing skill set required to work with and understand the many programs and techniques used in the creation of multimedia projects. Final year students exhibt their work at an end of year exhibition.
Students are not required to have practical experience before coming on the course but should enjoy working with computers. All Creative Multimedia courses are certified by the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), which is an international examining body.
