The Body Massage course is an essential requirement for applicants interested in pursuing a career in the beauty therapy field.
The course includes practical training in massage treatments along with studies of anatomy and physiology, health and safety and business studies.
As a graduate of this course, you will:
- Hold industry approved qualifications to gain employment
- Eligible to obtain professional insurance to work in the holistic therapies industry
- Possess excellent practical skills in Swedish Body Massage necessary for the workplace
- Hold the Anatomy and Physiology prerequisite qualification which is essential to pursuing further studies in the holistic therapies field
Course Structure and Award
This course is run over one academic year of twenty five weeks duration. Leading to the CIBTAC Diploma in Body Massage, the course is assessed through a combination of case studies and assignments undertaken by continuous assessment, and by end of year theory and practical examinations.
A committment to full attendance is required of candidates who register for this course.
Term will commence on Monday 26 September 2011 and run for twenty five academic weeks.

There are no formal entry requirements, though you are encouraged to consult the college to ensure the course is suitable.
Tuition
€495 payable on registration. Additionally, students are required to pay examination and product fees of €200 to Senior College Dun Laoghaire. Students are also required to purchase a holistic therapist uniform (cost approx. €40) and will be advised on this in the first class.
Further Study Options
Graduates of this programme may wish to pursue further studies including the CIBTAC Diploma in Indian Head Massage and the full time day programmes in Holistic Therapies or Spa Therapies at Senior College Dun Laoghaire.
