SCD is pleased to announce that Dún Laoghaire VEC has appointed Deirdre Hanamy as Principal to Senior College Dún Laoghaire with effect from January 2011. Deirdre has been Deputy Principal in SCD for the past six and a half years. 

Deirdre replaces Barry O'Callaghan who retired in December 2010 after 35 service to Dún Laoghaire VEC, having spent the past six and half years as Principal of SCD.  SCD is very grateful to Barry for his commitment and dedication to Senior College over many years and wishes him a long and happy retirement.

SCD congratules Deirdre on her appointment and wishes her every success and happiness in her new role.

Finally, it is with regret that SCD bids farewell to Cecilia (O'Flaherty) Munro who has left SCD after 19 years to take up the position of Principal in Dún Laoghaire College of Further Education.  We also wish Cecilia every success in her new role.
