Many people today are fascinated with criminology and the process of crime scene investigation - the TV show CSI has brought to our living rooms the techniques of forensic science and investigation.
This is a short ten week course for persons with an interest in the area of criminal law and crime scene investigation.
On successful completion of the course you will have an understanding of:
- The nature of criminal behaviour
- Criminal psychology and sociology
- Criminal Law
- The Court and Judicial Systems
- Gathering evidence including forensic investigation techniques including fingerprinting, blood and DNA evidence
Attendance
Classes will commence on Wednesday 21 September 2011 and run for ten weeks from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The college calander can be found here
Assessment
Participants on this course are required to complete two assignments and an examination leading to a FETAC Level 5 Component Certificate in Criminology (N22743).

€120 inclusive of assessment.
