Many people today are fascinated with the process of crime scene investigation - the TV show CSI has brought to our living rooms the techniques of forensic science and investigation.
This is a short ten week course for persons with an interest in the area of criminal law and crime scene investigation.
Attendance
Commencing 22 September 2010, the class runs for ten weeks on Wednesday nights from 7pm-9pm. The classes will comprise lectures on the Irish legal system, criminal law and investigation and assessment of evidence.
Students will learn how the court systems operate, the nature of crime, DNA evidence, fingerprinting evidence, blood evidence and autopsy.
Assessment
The course is certified by FETAC as a Level 5 award. Students take two assignments and a short written examination.
