The Computer Graphic Design course is certified as a FETAC Level 5 award.
This course focuses on the practical, design and theoretical aspects of image editing and manipulation. The very latest in editing software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) are used in developing design and media skills.
Students learn to manipulate text, graphics, photographs and develop posters, calendars, and promotional materials using state of the art hardware and software.
Attendance
Commencing Monday 20 September 2010, students attend from 6:30pm to 9:30pm over a twenty-five week period.
Prerequisites
Students taking the course are required to have strong computer literacy skills coupled with a keen interest in design.
Certification
Students are credited for their achievements by means of continuous assessment completing a:
- Portfolio of three graphic assignments which evaluate their editing skills
- Project consisting of six images created from the original. e.g. bank notes, stamps, web graphics
Tuition
€350 inclusive of assessment.
