This course is a step up from the Web Authoring course on offer in the college. It is suited for participants with stronger technical skills who wish to develop more complex and larger scale websites.

On successful completion of the course your skills will include:

• Cascading Style Sheets
• Java Script
• Flash CS5 Introduction
• Fireworks Introduction
• Hosting and maintenance skills
   

Course Structure and Award

This is a FETAC Level 6 certified modular course. Successul candidates will be awarded the following Component Certificates:
• Web Authoring (C30148)
• Web Hosting and Maintenance (L32521)

Term will commence on Monday 19 September 2011 and run for twenty five academic weeks from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The college calander can be found here 
 

Entry Requirements

Students taking the Advanced Web Design course are required to have good computer skills and an appreciation of web technologies. Ideally, candidates will have first completed the Introductory Web Authoring course at Senior College Dun Laoghaire or an equivalent qualification.
