Advanced Diploma in Interactive Multimedia

The Advanced Diploma in Interactive Multimedia course builds on the skills acquired in previous years, advancing the student’s expertise in interactive multimedia through self-directed projects. There is an increased emphasis on student managed learning and a problem solving /experimentation approach to projects. An open-ended major project is the core focus of the course and each student will exhibit their project at the end of year College Design exhibition.

Assessment and Certification

The course is certified by the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), which is an international examining body.


Assessment is based on assignments and projects submitted during the year.  Repeats, will, at the College’s discretion, be facilitated in the next academic year.

 

 

Progression

Education/Training

Advanced Diploma graduates, who achieve an overall credit may apply for direct entry into the final year of the BSc (Hons) Multimedia or the BA(Hons) Interactive Digital Media at Swansea Metropolitan University. Graduates will be required to attend a suitability interview. 

 
Career

Advanced Diploma in Interactive Multimedia Graduates obtain mid to higher level employment in the Interactive Multimedia industry.

 

 

Entry Requirements

 

  • Prior Qualification

Applicants should have obtained the Diploma in Interactive Multimedia or the Graduate Diploma in Interactive Multimedia or equivalent.

  • Mature Students (including VTOS and BTEA)

Applicants without formal qualifications will be considered on the basis of experience and overall demonstrable ability. 

  • Other Applicants

Other suitably qualified applicants will be considered on the basis of experience, overall ability and aptitude.

 

 

Fees
 

There are no tuition fees for EU students. At course commencement, students are required to pay for books, a College registration fee and where applicable professional body registration fees.
