This course is designed for those who want to acquire the skills to use computer applications at an advanced level, to understand the workings of the Vista Operating System and the basic concepts of web design and the Internet. Learners who successfully complete this course will be certified proficient in the Microsoft Office 2007 system and Windows Vista.

This certificate has been designed to meet the needs of people who want to make the most of digital media devices and computers. Modules include:
- Digital Still Images (understanding, capturing and manipulating still images)
- Moving Image Language (understanding the language that film makers use to communicate)
- Digital Video (capturing and manipulating digital video)
- Multimedia Presentations (sharing using multimedia presentations)
Assessment and Certification
- This course is certified by the Microsoft IT Academy and FETAC.
- Learners who successfully achieve all the Microsoft Certificates and have a relevant training certificate such as the JEB/EDI Teacher Training Diploma can apply to become a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Instructor.
- Digital Creator is certified by the British Computer Society.
- Assessment is based on a combination of work submitted during the year and online exams.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must have a prior IT computing qualification, such as a FETAC, ECDL, City & Guilds eQuals Level 1 or Level 2 qualification or have relevant IT work experience.
Mature Students (including VTOS and BTEA)
Applicants without formal qualifications will be considered on the basis of experience and overall demonstrable ability.
Other Requirements
All applicants will have an advisory meeting to offer guidance and to ensure course suitability. Applicants will also be advised on course costs and registration details.
Fees
There are no tuition fees for EU students. At course commencement, students are required to pay for books, exams, a College registration fee and where applicable professional body registration fees.
