Course Structure
This course is a progression from year 1 and offers additional CIBTAC and ITEC qualifications and the CIDESCO Diploma.
Comite Internationale D'esthetique et de Cosmetologie (CIDESCO) is based in Zurich and the qualification is recognised throughout the world.

Assessment and Certification
The course is certified by CIBTAC, ITEC and CIDESCO. These awarding bodies apply a rigid set of standards governing attendance, learning and examinations.
Examinations take place in April and May.
A thesis is required for CIDESCO certification. Case studies are required for CIBTAC/ITEC diplomas.

Graduates can work as fully qualified Facial and Body Therapists to include Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Electrolysis.
Graduates who are awarded all Diplomas can become overseas members of the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) and the International Therapy Examinations Council (ITEC).
Entry Requirements
Applicants should hold Facial, Electrical and Body qualifications from (CIBTAC) or from the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC).
Senior College Dun Laoghaire (SCD) offers postgraduate CIDESCO qualifications to prospective therapists who hold Facial, Electrical and Body qualifications from CIBTAC or ITEC or other Facial and Body Therapy Diplomas, which are recognised by CIDESCO for a minimum of 3 years, together with evidence of satisfactory work experience during this time.
There is high demand for places and early application is advised. Applications will be processed strictly in order of receipt.
Applicants may be required to undergo a suitability interview. Applicants must have reached the required standard in the CIBTAC/ITEC examinations (year 1) and satisfy the College’s criteria on suitability. Short listing will apply, based on general ability, specific aptitude and demonstrable interests.
Fees
- There are no tuition fees for EU students. At course commencement, students are required to pay for books, exams, €200 PLC Government Levy (unless exempt), a Student Services fee and where applicable professional body registration fees.
- Students will be required to purchase certain items including a uniform and product kits.
