“A Chair Affair” was an upcycling project undertaken recently by first year Interior Design students in Senior College.

The students gathered together waste remnants of fabrics and reupholstered the old chairs from the teachers' staff room.

The idea for the project was inspired by Emer Tubridy, Design Department Head and overseen by tutor, Gillian Sherrard. The chairs were saved from a fateful end and colourful experimental pieces were produced. This was a fun, hands on project for all involved.
